GCB
Special Forks was born in 1987 from Gazzaniga,
Ceriani and Bianchi's great passion for
races. For different years it has been
dominating the international Custom scene
under the managing of the resourceful
Fabio Bianchi.
Market research and study
The new demands made by our acquired customers
and the new trends of the market are evaluated
and weighed by a net of distributors,
which are organised to world level. After
considering the various demand coming
from the market and after establishing
the quantities and the delivery times
and terms with reference to each customer,
then the data are passed to the firm to
be valued.
Planning development of the products
A highly qualified staff is able to plan
and develop the new inquiries using advanced
and instruments and tools Tests and verifications
on the prototype, evaluations of the performances
such as lasting, safety, reliability and
maintainability gotten through the suspension
test-bench, all this things assure, besides
an analysis of the risks, the suitability
of the product and its following passage
to the other steps of production process.
Planning of the production process
In order to guarantee the respect of the
agreed delivery terms, all the production
processes necessary to realize the product
by the quantity ordered are carefully
planned.
Purchases
Raw materials and services are purchased
according to evaluation of samples and
using selected and qualified suppliers,
all this considering historical bases
and with reference to the previous supplies.
The purchase is supported by purchase
documents, technical cards to verify materials
and sketches.
Production
The production is effected in series for
the various pieces through automated processes
and not, according to detailed workmanship
criteria made clearer and more practical
by written rules, photographic supports,
schematic illustrations and representative
samples.
Quality control
controls and verification are effected
during every production step, beginning
from the entry of raw materials that are
carefully tested in order check their
conformity, through all the various phases
of processing and assembling that are
made by special machines and giving sharp
responsibilities to each person involved
in production. We check the functionality
of the product trough the analysis of
the articles made by a computerized suspension-test
bench, which supplies us with graphics
about the stopping of the compression
and about the extension.
Last but definitely not least we would
like to underline another very important
control we make on our products: we verify
the perfection of its aesthetic side.

Packing and stocking
Finished products are placed in special packages made
of shaped polystyrene and packed in a solid export
carton. A label complete with the code of the product
is stuck outside the carton in order to make its identification
easier. Then the goods, already packed, are stored
using suitable methods that assure its "maintenance"
and avoid its deterioration.
The good condition of the goods inside the warehouse
is checked by regular intervals to verify the conformity
of their requirements and to notice any possible loss,
damage or deterioration of the products.
Sale and distributions
The last phase of the process is the delivery of the
product.
As every production is effected on customers demands
through theirs written and confirmed orders, we can
say that sale is the first and most important phase
from which the whole cycle of production starts.
Of course GCB Special Forks has always in its warehouse
a range of stock products that are the ones mostly
required, but personalized articles or specific products
are made exclusively on a previous demand-order made
by customers.
The delivery times are therefore agreed at the moment
of the order and we always give an expected delivery
date. We take care of delivery taking specia measures
for the protection of the quality of the product using
special packing and we entrust qualified forwarding
agents selected on the ground of their previous performances
with our consignments. As regards to the distribution
of its own products, GCB Special Forks uses a world
wide distribution net by which it is present in the
best catalogues of the field.
Activity of post-sale and assistance
If necessary, technical advice, supply of spare parts
and a competent customer service are granted to every
customer after the purchase of our products.
Always on demand, we can supply, together with instruction
manuals explaining assemblage and dismantlement, also
all the special tools and the equipments for the manipulation
and the assistance of the products during and after
the installation. The activity post-sale also includes
possible overhaul of products or installation of the
suspensions on the bikes.
The eventual claims about problems or breakdowns that
should reach the firm, are evaluated and studied by
specialized personnel that, if necessary, after a
careful re-examination of the project in all its phases
assures quick corrective actions.
